ABOUT

ABOUT

Established in 2008, The Philippine Children’s Medical Center Pediatric Urology Fellowship Program is the only accredited Pediatric Urology Fellowship Program in the country recognized by the Philippine Society of Pediatric Urology and the Philippine Urological Association. The program was spearheaded by its Section Head, Dr. David T. Bolong. The consultancy staff is composed of Dr. Carlo C. Bisnar, Dr. Jun S. Dy and Dr. Willie T. Hao.

The 2 year fellowship training program offers a wide range of clinical exposure to neurogenic and congenital genitourinary anomalies. The program offers a comprehensive line of diagnostic and treatment options for patients. The fellows do their own bladder function tests with voiding cystourethrograms and video urodynamic studies. The fellows are likewise exposed and trained to perform various procedures from complex genitourinary reconstruction to endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures with complete line of pediatric endoscopic and laparoscopic instruments. The section also works alongside other subspecialties as teams in handling complicated genitourinary anomalies with concomitant bowel, neurologic, skeletal, and gynecologic anomalies.

Over the years, the program has produced several leading Pediatric Urologists in the country. The institution and its program is truly regarded as the preferred and final frontier of Pediatric Urology referrals and treatment in the country.
